After the Golden Age of Raunchy Comedies in the 2000’s and 2010’s, the amount of Raunchy Comedies and Sex Comedies significantly decreased. While the prior two decades saw an average of 7-9 Raunchy Comedy films release during each year, starting in 2018, there were only about 2-4 Raunchy Comedies on average each year. Some of this decrease could be attributed to the Global Covid-19 Pandemic, but regardless, there was a downwards trend in Raunchy Comedies after 2018. In addition, the quality of Raunchy Comedy films also suffered but there were a few gems during these years (outlined in our Classic, must see New Raunchy Comedies section below).
In 2018, Raunchy Comedies included Blockers (2018), Game Over, Man! (2018), Super Troopers 2 (2018), Deadpool 2 (2018), The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018), The Package (2018) and The Festival (2018).
In 2019, Raunchy Comedies continued to decrease in overall numbers with only Booksmart (2019), Mope (2019), Good Boys (2019), Ode to Joy (2019), James vs. His Future Self (2019) and Jexi (2019).
2020 Raunchy Comedies included Klovn the Final (2020), The King of Staten Island (2020), The Binge (2020) and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020).
And a further decrease in Raunchy Comedies continued into 2021 with only The Buddy Games (2021) and Plan B (2021).
However, there was a slight resurgence in Raunchy Comedies in 2022 with Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), Movers Ultimate (2022), Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (2022), Sharp Stick (2022), I Love My Dad (2022), Bros (2022), The Estate (2022), Who’s a Good Boy (2022) and It’s a Wonderful Binge (2022). Hopefully, 2023 will see a continuation of this upward trend with more Raunchy Comedies releasing throughout the year.

Here is our list of New Raunchy Comedies You Haven’t Seen:
#10
Mope

Plot: The tragic true story of best friends Steve Driver and Tom Dong, two low end porn actors who sought fame but gained infamy.
KBZ’s Take: This film can be broken into two halves – the first half is a Raunchy Comedy which focuses on typical sex humor you might expect within the porn industry. The crude jokes often come at the expense of the two losers who become known as “mopes” in the industry. If you’re wondering what a mope is, it’s the lowest form of employee in the porn industry often doing the dirtiest work. You can read more about what a ‘mope’ entails here.
The second half of the film continues the Raunchiness but without the humor. The film turns into a dark tale about an unstable man who suddenly sees his dreams of being a top porn actor disappear. It’s a film worth seeing but just be warned it’s not a straight Raunchy Comedy with a somewhat depressing third act.

Plot: After six lifelong friends have a five-year falling out, “The Bobfather”, reunites his pals for the Buddy Games, an insane competition of absurd physical and mental challenges with the chance to win a $150,000 pot. Now all bets are off, as the determined dudes fight, claw, and party for the big bucks.
KBZ’s Take: If you’re into toilet humor and Raunchy Comedies, then this is your movie. With any film starring John Duhamel, Kevin Dillon, Dax Shepard and Nick Swardson, you should know by now what type of humor you’ll get. An uneven film with more hits than misses, it’s still a film to check out for fans of the Reunion Film subgenre and Raunchy Comedies.

Plot: A hopelessly estranged father catfishes his son in an attempt to reconnect.
KBZ’s Take: This film has more cringe-worthy moments than any recent Raunchy Comedy film. As you might expect, a dad catfishing his son as a fake ‘woman’ online can only lead to humorous and shocking results. The film dials up the Raunchiness especially when the son wants to have phone text sex with his new online girlfriend. If you’re not familiar with “catfishing” you can read more about it here.

The Festival

Plot: After Nick’s girlfriend dumps him, his best mate Shane has the perfect antidote to his break-up blues: three days at an epic music festival.
KBZ’s Take: Immature, crude and gross-out humor are the foundations of this film and help make it one of the more Raunchiest comedies of the subgenre. While the film’s plot is predictable (and similar to quite a few other films of the subgenre), it’s the Raunchy Humor throughout that makes the film a recommendation for subgenre fans. It’s also by the co-creator of The Inbetweeners (2011), so if you’re already familiar with that film, The Festival delivers much of the same British Raunchy Comedy.

The Package

Plot: A group of teenagers are on a spring break camping trip when one of them accidentally cuts off his ‘prized possession’.
KBZ’s Take: We’ll start off with a warning that this is one of the Raunchier subgenre films out of any decade. With a premise that involves a teen getting his member separated from his body, you can imagine the type of jokes involved with this situation. And for the most part, The Package hits most of its marks with some very, very funny situations and dialogue. It’s definitely not a film for the squeamish so viewer beware.

#5
Plan B

Plot After a regrettable first sexual encounter, a straight-laced high school student and her slacker best friend have 24 hours to hunt down a Plan B pill in America’s heartland.
KBZ’s Take: A surprisingly good film that balances the Raunchy Comedy and Sex Humor with a heartfelt coming-of-age tale between two female friends. Though the hunt for the Plan B pill is the catalyst to get the teen women involved with typical Road Trip comedy hijinks, it’s the secrets the best friends reveal about themselves that makes the film worth watching. And unlike most Road Trip comedies, this is one trip you’ll want to take with the excellent Kuhoo Verma and Victoria Moroles.

Plot: Frank and Casper have never been more successful, and superficial. A planned weekend trip to Iceland, where they have to revive their declining creativity, is prevented by a stupid misunderstanding at the airport.
KBZ’s Take: We’re listing Klovn The Final here more out of respect for the trio of films including Klown (2010) and Klown Forever (2015). Klown (2010) was also our #1 film from the Top Raunchy Comedies for Men from the 2010’s You Haven’t Seen list. If you’re not familiar with Klown, it will help to check out the 2010’s list and read more about it.
As for Klovn the Final, it’s the least Raunchiest of the three films. However, it’s a better film than Klown Forever and a nice bookend to the Raunchy escapades of Frank and Casper.

Booksmart

Plot: Two teenage academic superstars decide they want to party on the eve of their graduation.
KBZ’s Take: This film was on the tail end of the wave of female-driven Raunchy & Sex Comedies that came out in the 2010’s and it’s one of the best. The film follows usual Buddy Comedy tropes but does two things particularly well. First, it somehow integrates gross out humor into the film that plays much funnier than you would expect. Second, it has an emotional core between the two girls that has a surprisingly fitting end. While the film was popular, for anybody that hasn’t seen this yet, it’s highly recommended.

Plot: An aging Chinese woman is given the power to tap into her other lives in the Multiverse to combat an evil force.
KBZ’s Take: We’ll start off by saying this film is not for everybody. Though the majority of reviews think this is an immediate classic film (and frontrunner for the Academy Award’s Best Picture for 2022), there are also some people where this film won’t be their ‘cup of tea’. With that said, we can count on one hand the number of films that have blown us away on first viewing. The Matrix (1999) is one of those films, Being John Malkovich (1999) is another. Everything Everywhere All At Once is the latest to leave us speechless after viewing.
This is one of the most unique and original films you will ever see with a crazy premise that gets even crazier throughout the film. It utilizes concepts of Fate & Destiny and The Multiverse that haven’t been done before. Oh, and it’s a Family Drama, Martial Arts Action Film, Action Adventure Film and Raunchy Comedy all at once. The Raunchy Comedy in this film also comes at unexpected times making those moments much more shocking and hilarious.
Words really cannot describe the film, so you’ll have to trust us and see the film right away. Admittedly, it takes about 20 minutes in the film to really get going, but once you get to that point, hold on as the ride is just beginning.

#1
Jexi

Plot: Phil’s new phone comes with AI…that unexpectedly wants her all to himself.
KBZ’s Take: The Raunchy, Sex Comedy cousin to the Joaquin Phoenix film Her (2013), Jexi has some hilarious (and hard R-rated outrageous laughs) in it. Adam Levine seems to have a “love him or hate him” rep but he’s great in this film especially once he realizes the AI on his phone turns into a stalker and will stop at nothing to destroy his life.
