As a reminder, all KBZ film subgenre categorization is performed by HI (Human Intelligence) and not AI. With over 29,431+ movies categorized in 213 subgenres and microgenres, KBZ has become the largest and most accurate film subgenre classification resource on the internet.
2/14/26 – Romantic Horror Films Collection created. 70 films added; ongoing additions.
11/19/25 – Screenlife Horror Films Collection created. 30 films added; ongoing additions.
11/19/25 – Livestream Horror Films Collection created. 23 films added; ongoing additions.
3/10/25 – Religious Horror Films Collection created. 275 films added; ongoing additions.
3/03/25 – An additional 1,011 movies have been categorized and indexed bringing the total number of films categorized by KBZ to 29,431!
1/07/25 – Sci-Fi Kaiju Films Collection created. Majority of films added; ongoing additions.
12/14/24 – An additional 1,994 movies have been categorized and indexed bringing the total number of films categorized by KBZ to 28,420!
08/19/24 – An additional 5,800+ movies have been categorized and indexed over the last 2 months bringing the total number of films categorized by KBZ to 26,436!
07/13/24 – Exploitation Films Collection has been added with anticipated completion by November, 2024. Assigned to Thriller Parent Genre due to majority of films using genre themes.
05/01/24 – Giallo Films Collection complete.
02/20/24 – Psychic Powers Films Collection changed from Horror genre to Sci-fi genre.
11/18/23 – Giallo Films Collection added.
07/15/23 – Films About Journalism Collection added. Assigned to Drama genre. Majority of films added; ongoing additions.
07/2/23 – Sci-fi Biotech Films Collection updated. Films About Clones Collection and Films About Genetic Engineering Collection created for more refined classification.
6/18/23 – Eco-Horror Films Collection created. Majority of films added; ongoing additions.
