Veterinarian Sam (Eion Bailey) leads a simple, happy life with his wife, Lydia (Annabeth Gish), in the Maine town where he grew up. But when Dee-Dee (Alicia Silverstone), the girl who was his adolescent obsession, returns home a single mother after being gone for years, Sam struggles as his old feelings return. Dee-Dee opens a candle-making workshop, and Sam and Lydia cautiously befriend her young son, Trooper (Matthew Knight) – wondering about Dee-Dee’s intentions.
