A Place in the World

In the wilds of Argentina, Mario (Federico Luppi) and his wife, Ana (Cecilia Roth), work to stop the construction of a dam. The structure will generate massive amounts of electricity – but will also flood the valley, effectively ending the livelihoods of scores of local shepherds. Joining in their struggle against the project is Hans (Jose Sacristan), a geologist who’s a newcomer to the community. In time, Hans also becomes a mentor to the couple’s son, Ernesto (Gaston Batyi).
