In this third special edition article of Body Swap Films, we’re going to look at the Best Raunchy Body Swap Films. In previous articles, we looked at The Best Films of the Body Swap Film Subgenre, New Body Swap Films (from 2018 – 2023), Body Swap Thrillers, Romantic Body Swap Films and some lesser-known Body Swap Films in previous articles here, here and here.
Body Swap films typically reside in the comedy genre and use film tropes associated with a person’s consciousness in another body (often involving a female to male body swap, male to female body swap or an age-related body swap). Raunchy Comedy is a natural subgenre for these films as they can explore, in often funny and graphic detail, what is like to be a man or a woman. Most of these raunchy body swap tales contain harsh language, nudity and sexual situations and are R-rated so are not suited for younger eyes.
In this article, we’ll look at some of the best Body Swap Films that have the funniest raunchy and sexual content including a teenager who changes from a boy to a girl when he gets sexually aroused, a South Korean film where a man finds an unconscious woman and mysteriously swaps bodies with her and a very funny (and raunchy) comedy about a father and his sexually promiscuous bachelor friend who swap bodies and have to learn how to deal with their new lives.
Our list of Body Swap Films includes over 83+ films that span different genres including comedy, sci-fi and even horror. For films that are not technically Body Swap films but utilize similar themes (i.e. a person explores a parallel timeline where their life is different), our list of Contemporary & Urban Fantasy Films, Alternate History Films and Films About the Multiverse will most likely include those types of films. Here is our list of the Best Raunchy Body Swap Films:
#10
Zerophilia

Plot: While on a camping trip, an inexperienced young man (Taylor Handley) has an encounter with a British woman, who turns him into a zerophiliac, a person who can change sexes while aroused. Further complications arise when Luke, who also becomes Luca (Marieh Delfino), loses interest in his girlfriend, Michelle (Rebecca Mozo), and instead prefers her brother, Max (Kyle Schmid).
KBZ’s Take: Zerophilia is a film that likely won’t appeal to older generations as it explores themes of gender identity through Body Swaps involving sexual situations. However, the sexual situations in the film are raunchy and hilarious and the film does ultimately have a message about accepting who you are.
The film is on the lower budget end and there are issues with the film’s pacing, but we would recommend the film for fans of Raunchy Comedies and for subgenre fans looking for unique Body Swap themes.

Cleo/Leo

Plot: Chauvinistic businessman Leo Blockman picks up a woman who shoots him, causing him to fall into a river and inexplicably emerge as a woman. Renaming himself Cleo Clock, her female personality gradually begins to take over, and she’s forced to navigate a sexist world while attempting to find a way to transform back into a man.
KBZ’s Take: Cleo/Leo is a very obscure film from the late 1980’s and was the template for two other films in our article – Sam (2015) and Switch (1991). The film is very low budget and directed by Chuck Vincent who was responsible for many X-rated adult films in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the film also features former adult film actresses Veronica Hart and Ginger Lynn.
With that said, the film is surprisingly funny and features some unique Body Swap situations that hadn’t yet been developed by more mainstream films within the subgenre. Though the film has a few raunchy sequences (and a good amount of nudity), it’s not pornographic by any means and Hart gives a passable performance as Cleo.
For completists of the subgenre, it’s a film we would recommend if only to see elements of the film’s plot that were used two years later in the much more mainstream and popular Switch (1991).

Supercool

Plot: Lifelong friends Neil and Gilbert’s undeniable bond gets pushed to its limits when Neil makes a wish that comes true.
KBZ’s Take: Supercool is basically a B-movie version of Superbad (2007) with an underlying Body Swap theme. This is a very raunchy film from its use of foul language to many (often hilarious) sexual situations. However, the Body Swap theme seems a bit underdeveloped as Neil (Jake Short) makes a wish to be popular and his body is replaced by that of Ace (Josh Cranston). This is where the Body Swap comedy falls a bit short as you only see Ace in reflections and don’t get the entire effect of the male supermodel that Neil has become.
But it still has some great moments that are very raunchy and very funny. This is a film we would recommend for every Raunchy Comedy fan and completists of the Body Swap film subgenre.

Plot: Not only is Jessica Spencer the most popular girl in school – she is also the meanest. But things change for the attractive teen when a freak accident involving a cursed pair of earrings and a chance encounter at a gas station causes her to switch bodies with Clive, a sleazy crook. Jessica, in the form of the repulsive Clive, struggles to adjust to this radical alteration and sets out to get her own body back before the upcoming prom.
KBZ’s Take: This is a Happy Madison Production which has the usual amount of raunchy and crude humor. How much you enjoy other Adam Sandler-type films and how much you can tolerate Rob Schneider will go a long way in dictating how much you enjoy this subgenre film.
It does have a somewhat original premise and there are some very funny Body Swap situations, so we would still recommend the film for completists and fans of the subgenre.

Switch

Plot: A man is reincarnated as a woman and must have a sincere relationship or lose his soul to the devil.
KBZ’s Take: As we mentioned earlier, Switch uses many of the same plot elements of Cleo/Leo (1989) while also creating some new Body Swap situations that were later used in the more recent Sam (2015).
Blake Edwards’ film has his usual mix of Slapstick Comedy and Raunchy Comedy but, in this case, infused with gender swap relations and situations. Ellen Barkin is the highlight of the film and helps Switch overcome the usual subgenre tropes. Though this is a fantasy comedy film with a lot of hilarious laughs, it has one tearjerker of an ending…

Miss Change

Plot: Je-chil, a successful lawyer, suffers from chronic shyness and loses the case every time he is up against a female opponent. One day, he discovers an unconscious woman on the street and discovers he can swap bodies with her.
KBZ’s Take: This South Korean film is one of the more unique films in the entire Body Swap film subgenre. The Body Swap theme present in this film revolves around an unconscious (or dead) woman that a man discovers and can swap bodies with her. The catch – once he swaps bodies with her and she becomes alive, his body falls unconscious.
It’s a neat trick that’s used for some very funny sequences in the film – especially when the two men figure out how they can use the body swap to their advantage. Recommended for fans and completists of the subgenre.

Plot: A visit to a natural history museum proves catastrophic for two high school rivals, an overachiever and a jock, when an ancient Aztec statue casts a spell that causes them to switch bodies and see exactly what it’s like to walk in the other’s shoes.
KBZ’s Take: The Body Swap film subgenre seems like a prime target for Raunchy and Sex Comedies given the usual changed body film tropes used. Though there are a few films of the subgenre that go in this R-rated and raunchy direction, It’s a Boy Girl Thing does a delicate balancing act between Raunchy Comedy and standard Teen Comedy.
What it does well are some very funny sequences where the boy and girl (in swapped bodies) get revenge on the others (through actions with their new bodies). These are some of the highlights of this film and make it worth seeing.

Plot: A malfunctioning time machine at a ski resort takes a man back to 1986 with his two friends and nephew, where they must relive a fateful night and not change anything to make sure the nephew is born.
KBZ’s Take: While Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) can lay claim to the Raunchiest Comedy in the Time Travel Film subgenre, Hot Tub Time Machine arguably has the funniest themes of unintended consequences when traveling back in time while inhabiting younger versions of yourself. The film is also at its best when it plays with past scenarios that must be repeated to not affect the future.
The film does feature typical Raunchy Comedy that was prevalent throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s, but it also has some surprisingly well developed characters and their different motivations for changing the past and their future.

Plot: One messy science journalist (Tash) and a neat television host (Brett). Two very different people whose relationship is nose diving to get the opportunity to experience life in their partners shoes when they wake up one morning in each other’s bodies. Valuable lessons are learned by each as they both must adjust to very different lives.
KBZ’s Take: We’ll be the first to admit this film flew under our radar for quite some time. Though we’re huge fans of Guy Pearce’s films, we somehow missed this one. And that’s why we’re listing it here – it’s one of his best early performances which shows how he became a Hollywood star.
As for this Australian film, it has a few things going for it. It has unbelievable performances from both Pearce and Claudia Karvan as the man and woman who swap bodies. And we have to say, it’s some of the best dual performances (acting as man and woman) we have seen in any Body Swap film.
Second, though it does veer into the Raunchy Comedy side (with some very funny scenes), it’s ultimately a love story about two extremely mismatched people who experience the other person’s side and grow from it. It’s one of the best films of the subgenre and we’re making it our mission to highlight it for more exposure, so fans of the subgenre don’t miss out.

Plot: Once inseparable pals, Dave (Jason Bateman) and Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) have drifted apart over the years. Dave is an overworked lawyer and family man, while Mitch has thus far avoided most of the normal responsibilities of adulthood. Each is envious of the other’s life, and following a drunken binge, the men awake to find they have somehow switched bodies. Dave and Mitch soon discover that things are not as rosy as they seemed and try to find a way to return their lives to normal.
KBZ’s Take: Unlike most Body Swap films, The Change-Up explores “What If?” scenarios that are found in other films such as The Family Man (2000) and Hot Tub Time Machine (2010). Ryan Reynolds (Mitch) and Jason Bateman (Dave) own their roles playing against type to great comedic effect. The film has many hilarious moments but none funnier than when Mitch and Dave try to explain their body switch to Dave’s wife.
This isn’t the raunchiest film on our list, but arguably the funniest. It also recycles typical Body Swap situations but executes them in often hilarious ways. No other film on this list can top the chemistry between Bateman and Reynolds for an unforgettable subgenre experience and our pick for the Best Raunchy Body Swap film.
